Echoes of Faith

Looking for a way to begin your faith walk? With whom can you share these experiences? Echoes of Faith is a simple course that will serve as a means for faith formation for adults. The objective of the theological modules is to help adults understand basics of Catholic doctrine and traditions. This course will be conducted in Spanish for those who do not speak English. Our goal and wish is that all become part of the Body of Christ, the parish family community. The course will begin on September 19th, at 7:00 P.M. If you have questions or need more information, please call Sonia Varra or Judy Issermoyer at 610-797-2215.

The Principal Says…

“Enjoy the City” books are currently on sale in school or the rectory for $15.00. $5.00 goes to school families for every book they sell for their fundraising goals. Please consider helping our school families by buying a book. They have great coupons in them for area restaurants.

If you have been saving Campbell labels over the summer for us, please bring them in. Campbell’s now wants the UPC labels. We may send in only one more mailing with the entire label. After that they will accept only the UPC codes.

We are still collecting Redner’s Save-a-tape receipts, Boxtops for Education labels and used inkjet cartridges. Please continue to help us with these projects for the benefit of our children.

Do you have a free hour or two each week? If you do, maybe you would like to help out in our school. We are in need of classroom aides, help with lunch recess or office help. Please call 610-797-5321. We are also searching for a volunteer to teach art to the students. We have art supplies and a room but no teacher. We appreciate any help you can give.

Respect Life: In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah speaking about hypocrites, “This people honors me with their lips but their hearts are far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine human precepts.” These words are a reminder to all churchgoers to bring to the weekday workplace the Respect Life truths we hear and speak on Sundays.

Mark Your Calendars

St. Vincent de Paul: Basic food request this week: canned soups and vegetables, and any other non-perishable foods you would like to contribute. Thank you for your continuing generosity to the food bank.
