The Giving Tree this year will once again include tags for both our Pro-Life and Missionary Outreach Committees. Tags for the Pro-Life Committee will be the same as previous years. We ask you to take a tag, purchase the item, and return the gift to the tree with the tag on it. Wrapping the gift is optional. The Missionary Outreach Committee gift tags (to purchase baby items, clothing, medical supplies, etc.) will be for monetary donations only with checks payable to St. Paul’s R.C. Church. From the monies collected, the Committee will send a check to our sister parish Sts. John & Elizabeth who will in turn purchase gift cards from chain stores located in eastern Kentucky. The Giving Tree is located in the main vestibule. If you have any questions please contact either Bob Brown 610-797-7744 or Fran Kearns 610-797-6767.

Mark Your Calendars

Time is running out to signup for the Men’s Retreat: St. Paul’s 5th Annual Men’s Retreat will be held at the newly refurbished St. Francis Retreat House in Easton on the weekend of January 12-14, 2007. This year’s theme: “New Energy, New Life in the Holy Spirit” will be presented by Fr. Dan Havron, the new retreat master. Let’s welcome Jesus in the New Year and make our paths straight unto the Lord. For information or to make reservations, call Mike Nagle at 610-797-7313.

Respect Life

The time has come to give birth to the Christ Child. Mary, like mothers the world over, has endured nine months of worry, difficulty and sacrifice. As she brings forth her newborn Son, the distant words of the angel are embodied: “Blessed are you are among women, blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.” likewise blessed is every mother who has nurtured a child to birth, especially through a difficult or unplanned pregnancy.
