Mary’s Guild
Mary’s Guild: for women ages 18 and over. Mary’s Guild was started in April of 2000. These women are dedicated to Our Lady and their goal is provide Spiritual, Social and Service Opportunities for women. Mary’s Guild was formed with the idea of providing women an opportunity to share spiritually and socially in service to St. Paul’s Parish Family by helping to build community in the parish.
Mary’s Guild collects hats, scarves, and mittens/gloves in the parish to help needy school children in our local community. Baskets of much needed items like shampoo, soap, lotion, stockings, and other things were made up and delivered to a local women’s shelter to help battered women who flee their homes with nothing but what they are wearing.
Other activities include providing breakfast for the Advent and Lenten Prayer Breakfasts, bi-annual Bake Sales, Mother/Daughter banquets, and much more. Meetings take place on the second Sunday of each month at 7 PM in the rectory basement. All women are welcome. For information contact the Parish Office (610-797-9733). Leave your name and number and someone will return your call.
Knights of Columbus
This organization for men, Council #10922, was chartered on June 29, 1992. The K of C is a men’s Catholic fraternal organization which embodies the principals of the Knights internationally on moving forward issues important to the whole of the Catholic community.
Though made up of less than 100 members, St. Paul’s Council has been able to accomplish much through its many works of charity and social/community involvement. It has served to enhance the Parish community through its unwavering stance on the issue of Pro-Life, support for the Religious, Catholic Charity, and family life. In its relatively short life within the Parish, St. Paul’s Council counts among its contributions: participation in the erection of the Diocesan Tomb for the Unborn; support for the Pro-Life movement including membership participation in the national March for Life; support for Morality in Media; School Choice Information Night; support for the St. Vincent de Paul Society through food collections; the organization CYO Eighth Grade Basketball Tournaments; annual participation in the Knights of Columbus Free-throw Contest for Parish Youth; the construction and dedication of a Parish Outdoor Nativity Scene, and much more.
In addition, St. Paul’s Council has contributed several thousand dollars to support vocations and to the education of those choosing the vocation of religious life. The Council has also donated several thousand dollars to St. Paul’s School to assist with tuition payments for families in need.
St. Paul’s Parish Council has held several Parish Social events including Communion Breakfasts, Superbowl Parties, and Mother’s Day Breakfasts with free food for Moms as well as a small gift.

St. Vincent de Paul Conference:
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization of lay persons, founded in 1833 by Blessed Frederick Ozanam and his companions. The Society seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity, to help those who are suffering and needy through the corporal works of mercy. St. Paul’s Conference was established in 1981 by a group of parishioners. It has been faithful to those principles ever since.
One goal of our St. Vincent de Paul Conference is to provide assistance for the needy among us – but also to those who need help only temporarily. A food pantry has been established in the rectory basement. We regularly list food items needed for our pantry in the Sunday bulletin and parishioners are encouraged to contribute this food. In addition, conference funds are regularly used to purchase non-perishable food. Anyone may come to the pantry, which is open on Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
Another primary service provided by our conference is to assist people who find themselves without funds for necessary living expenses. This assistance, however, is available only to people in St. Paul’s parish. For more information on St. Vincent de Paul, call the Parish Office and leave your name and number. Someone from the Conference will return your call. (610-797-9733)

Pro-Life
St. Paul’s Friends for “Life” works to promote respect for ALL life from conception to natural death. To this end, and using the Corporal Works of Mercy as guides, “Friends” has become the “Lifeline” in the parish not only for the unborn, but also for women who choose life over abortion, for the Catholic Social Agency Giving Tree Project, for women who are contemplating abortion, for those who need to register to vote, and for the mothers and fathers in the parish. They have promoted Morality in the Media, pornography education, the Bishop’s Vigil at the Cathedral, and of course the annual March for Life in Washington D.C.
Member of Friends for “Life” meet on the third Thursday of each month in the rectory. New members are always welcome. Call 610-797-9733 and leave your name and number. Your call will be returned.
Prison Ministry
Members of St. Paul’s Parish serve the diocese in prison ministry at the LCP (Lehigh County Prison). The service varies. On Sundays, the Sunday Liturgy is taken to the facility so that residents may participate in the Word ofhte Sunday Mass. Small Christian Communities formed during this meeting time allow members ofthis community to identify others who will help them to find God as the source of the reforming of their lives on a daily basis.
In addition to the lay members of the prison ministry, three Diocesan priests serve by hearing confessions once a month in all of the general populations pods (living areas) in each of the four corners of the building, and by offering Mass and Communion monthly as well. Communion is taken to those requesting our Lord on a weekly basis. For more information call the Parish Office at 610-797-9733. Your call will be returned by a member of the ministry.
